Brief Notice of TNUSRB Constable, Jail Warder and Fireman:-

Qualification of TNUSRB Constable, Jail Warder and Fireman

(I). Candidate must have passed 10th standard/ SSLC.

TN Police Constable Age Limit

Applicant must have completed 18 years of age and not more than 26 years of age as on 1st July of the year of notification. Relaxation in upper age limit given to certain categories is as follows:-

Special Quota:

I) Eligibility to apply under 10% sports quota:-

Candidates applying under 10% Sports Quota must fulfill all the norms prescribed for open candidates. In addition, the candidate has to prepare Form-I/Form-II/Form-III for 16 games/games sanctioned for the event to be held within 5 years prior to the date of notification. The following are the details of the certificates required for obtaining sports quota:-

II) 5% Reservation:

(i) 5% of the posts will be reserved for Ex-Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen of Central Paramilitary Forces (discharged from service within 3 years prior to the date of notification/persons who are due to retire within one year (Last date of receipt of application).

(ii) If CPMF Ex-Servicemen / Ex-Servicemen fail to upload their discharge certificate, their application with date of discharge will not be considered under Ex-Serviceman category.

(iii) Serving Armed Forces / CPMF personnel who are due to retire within one year from the last date of receipt of online application, with a self-undertaking obtained from the Commanding Officer of their unit in the prescribed format. The certificate should be uploaded. Failing this they will not be considered for this reservation.

(iv) Ex-Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen of Central Paramilitary Forces who have not completed 3 years after discharge from service only are eligible to apply for this recruitment.

III) Destitute widow:

(i) 3% of the posts in District/City Armed Reserve (Women) and Jail Warders (Women) will be reserved for destitute widows.

(ii) Destitute widow candidates should obtain “Destitute Widow Certificate” from the Revenue Divisional Officer / Sub Collector / Assistant Collector and upload it along with the online application. Failing this, they will not be considered in the category of destitute widow.

20% PSTM Preference:

20% of all vacancies will be reserved on priority basis for candidates who studied in Tamil Medium from Class I to Class X on the basis of their community.

Transgender:

(a) Transgender candidates may decide to self-identify as any gender such as male or female or as a third gender. A transgender candidate, applying under third gender, should upload the identity card obtained from the Tamil Nadu Transgender Welfare Board.

(b) If a transgender candidate chooses gender as male, he/she should participate in physical measurement test, endurance test, physical performance test and certificate verification along with male candidates. If a transgender candidate chooses gender as female, he/she should appear along with female candidates in Body Measurement Test, Endurance Test, Physical Performance Test and Certificate Verification.

(c) If transgender candidates apply under third gender, they will be treated like female candidates.

(d) Transgender candidates can get the benefit of communal reservation like other candidates if they produce their community certificate.

(e) Transgender candidates, if they do not produce their Community Certificate, will be treated under the Most Backward Class category.
